Imcon Electronics, s.r.o. has been in operation for more than 25 years. Imcon Electronics acts like an in-house technical solutions partner and operates as a distributor of connectors, displays and electronic components for mobile applications. The company performs custom programming of HMI displays and CAN Bus electronics with an individual approach to their customers and their needs.
We spoke with Imcon Electronics founder and CEO Jan Kirchner to learn more about how they utilize their combined experience and expertise with electronics to provide custom solutions for a variety of customers.
What advantages does your company culture provide the marketplace?
Jan: We bring the highest quality manufacturers from around the world to local customers to solve their electronics problems. We do this by acquiring the customer’s technical specifications and design requirements and recommending the most effective solution. Thanks to our many years of experience in the field of electronic systems design, we can provide custom firmware and connector design for electric systems in mobile machinery.
What unique needs do your customers have and how do you solve them?
Jan: Our solutions save on production time, increase equipment performance, increase safety and provide our customers competitive advantages which in turn make our customers more profitable.
What is a competitive advantage you provide your customers?
Jan: At present, our customers do not have sufficient capacity to design electronic systems on their own and in a short time. Our company helps them solve these problems – we offer quick solutions and thus solve capacity constraints, while the total development costs are lower.
We don’t want to just meet the customer’s product requirements; we want to exceed them.
What trends do you find important for 2021 and how would you use Murphy products to address those needs?
Jan: The market is affected by the strict requirements of emission standards. That is why many of our customers need to integrate new combustion engines of emission standards Euro 5, Euro 6, Stage 5 into their machines. Our partnership with Enovation Controls helps us to meet the emission standards needed for our customers. At the same time, the requirements for the development of electro-mobile devices are also increasing. Murphy by Enovation Controls HMI are just at home showing parameters from an electric “engine” as they are from a standard combustion engine.
How does your company conquer complexity by integrating Murphy products into system solutions?
Jan: We have many years of knowledge of the details of CAN Bus communication at the software and hardware level. Together with the powerful PowerVision Configuration Studio® development environment, which enables easy integration of machine control, display visualization and communication via I/O lines of PDM modules, we can shield the customer from the details of solving individual problems. We hope that future integration with the new mobile controllers will allow this experience to be taken further.
What is the most interesting use of Murphy products you have seen a customer use?
Jan: We have interesting projects both for PV1200 displays and PV780 displays. The PV1200 has been used as a central dashboard for a new municipal electric vehicle which also uses the IX3212 module, and the PV780 is often used in very difficult outdoor environments of construction machinery or military vehicles.
