Is the purpose of the "Hardware Plug Transmit Device" to conveniently produce a variable with "Transmit" in the name?

The Transmit device is where you select PGN's and map variables that you wish to transmit. Transmitting is accomplished by setting values into the variables (or mapping to variables you already use).
