IsFunctionActive() in an older config updated to 2.8

Post by Hamsteh » Sat Jan 28, 2017 8:35 pm

Hey there,

I'm modifying an older MPC-20 configuration that would built in an earlier version of PowerVision that did not include "Alerts" functionality.

Now I'm attempting to add a new shutdown and it is much simpler to do so via Alerts. I've created alerts before and am comfortable with their use, and have tested that Alerts work in this config by creating one with expression "1" and a bubble timer. As expected the diagnostic popup appears after the bubble timer has expired.

When I attempt to utillise the IsFunctionActive() function however, the alert will never fire.
I have added a new enumeration to the InputFunctions variable, linked this to a digital input and can view the input changing state to B-, but it appears that the IsFunctionActive function never resolves to 1.

Is there anything else you can tell me about the functionality that I might be missing?

Thanks in advance!

We looked at what you described and it appears to sound good. Make sure you select a Severity for the Alert that is not None. Other than that could you private message your configuration to me and we will take a look.
