This release provides additional checking of configuration data to insure that during development, monochrome displays do not receive configurations that are larger than can be programmed. Prior to this release, when creating configurations near the limit of the memory capacity of a monochrome device, in rare instances it is possible to create a configuration that makes the device unresponsive. There was not a way to recover the device if this happens.
If you have a working completed configuration that installs on current monochrome displays, this issue will NOT affect you. It occurs only during development when the size of the configuration is unknown and changing.
Starting with the 2.7 Patch 2 release, users will not be able to save or reprogram a device with a configuration that is at or greater than the capacity limit.
Other fixes in this release:
- The PDM application Soft Start scaling has been updated.
A mismatch of the PV380 application version has been corrected.
Example configurations are located here.
