Create new Keyboard Widget

Post by nbrouhard » Thu Dec 01, 2011 2:58 pm

I need to have a custom keyboard layout displayed on my screen in a square layout.
Is there a way to create my own widgets, or some other method to accomplish the same effect?

Hello,

Inorder to achieve that you will have to import the background square image that you mentioned to the image library and place buttons on the image to customize it. Below are the steps to do that:
•Go to Environment setup page and Keyboard manager.
•Add a new keyboard. In the Keyboard layout area, you can see the image icon next to + and – sign.
•Click that icon and import the image.
•Place the buttons as required.

Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,

For a detailed explaination, you can also refer the Powervision studio 2.3 Application reference.pdf manual. It is located under 2.3 software releases. Below is the link to get there. Keyboard manager information starts with page 32.

Great, thank you for the information!
I didn't realize there was a reference document, this will be a lot of help.
