Post by gcsupport » Thu Apr 16, 2015 12:41 am

hi all,

i have a task to capture the button(keypress) press event from muprhy PV450 display to a PC which is connected to.
Please provide any sample or list out the steps to follow to store a keypress event to a register using MODBUS Slave or master and serial port using PowerVision studio.

Hello gcsupport,

I would recommend going to this site http://www.modbus.org/

The MODBUS specification is there as well as the code for different applications.

On the PowerVision congifuration side, unless someone out there has what you are asking about specifically, you can look in MPC20 (Advanced) standard configuration that comes with PowerVision Configuration Studio to find an example of a MODBUS slave.

You might see if either of these sites have something you could purchase to build your PC app, I think they will have the MODBUS part already written.
