DM1 and DM2 time stamp

Post by cconner_aie » Tue Sep 26, 2017 11:52 am

Is there a reason that we aren't able to access the DM1 and DM2 timestamps? I'm trying to integrate a more detailed history on our panel and having to make my own list seems redundant if I was able to get at the TimeStampSecond and TimeStampNanosecond columns of the DM1 and DM2 lists.

That's something that can be changed. But it will require waiting for the next patch to come out. They are looking at doing PV 2.9 patches quarterly, and the last patch was July 20. PV 2.8 doesn't have as much to be done but there is another problem that is being worked on. Would it help if that change was included in the next patch?

In all honesty, since I started my own fault management, I am able to integrate detailed DM1's and DM2's with my defined faults on the inputs using the real time clock as a timestamp so I probably wouldn't use it at this point.

Ultimately, if it's easy enough to include in the next patch and doesn't break anything else, I can see maybe looking at using it at some point in the future. For now I'm going to continue pulling my own time stamp from the real time clock and handling DM1's in my own list.

Thanks,
