PV380 reboot connection

Post by broesch » Tue Dec 12, 2017 7:01 am

Hi,
how can the PV380r2 got back to boot mode for reprogramming? My PV380 is actually stop receiving CAN-messages and no more reachable by the ECOM adapter. This is maybe caused by a programming error of myself (trying to send CAN-messages via Free Form Numeric Message). Only one time I reached the PV380 by pressing buttons during power up the device (that I know from the PV780 with USB-stick connected), but this procedure isn't working as expected.
Is there any hint (pressing buttons during startup)?

Hi again,

I got the PV380 running again:

The trick is to load (click on "load all" button) the Application Install Package (any created which was working) during power on of the display!
I'm wondering, if this is not described in the documentation, I didn't found any hint?

Maybe you got lucky! I believe you hold down the first and last button (far left and far right) while powering on.

Hi Boyce,

true, but this wasn't really done directed by myself, because I tried nearly everything to get the display running.
Is there any official way to regear the control of the display in such case?

Power on the display while holding the first and last buttons to stop the display in the bootloader. Then load a full install file with PowerVision or the Toolkit.
