Blink Animation

Post by vom1rhi » Fri Oct 28, 2011 7:49 am

Hi Everyone!

Easy question, but difficult for me

I wanna start an animation, were a picture appears and disappears in a certain amount of time.
For that, I created on a layer an Image Widget (Lamp Element)

Now I am struggling, when I want to built up a the State Machine and Variable that are necessary for the Lamp Element

Is there an easy way to do that?

I am using a PV-450, PowerVision 2.3 and Win Xp

Best regards

Hello vom1rhi,

The way I do animations is with a lamp gauge and a state machine that executes a calculation event every 100ms to determine if the lamp gauge element should be visible or not.

The example that I attached includes a variable to adjust the period but you can replace that with a constant value.

You can also modify the expression that calculates the visibility of the lamp gauge to only blink when another variable is on.

ksaenz,

I'm trying to blink an icon if there is a particular value coming in from a CAN message. I've tried using a state machine with transitions with the value of the CAN message as a condition, but it's not working. I think this example is what I'm looking for, but I'm running 2.8 and I don't think I can load this.

Thanks,

Hello bgundermann,

I have brought the blink config up to 2.8.10366. It is about a three step import process, PowerVision Configuration Studio is similar, but many changes have been made!

Hope this will help you with your project.
