Upload Error

Post by tshiii » Wed Mar 15, 2017 9:42 pm

Hello,

When a new configuration was uploaded to PV450-NV, it seems to be done successfully on PowerVision screen, but the attached error was shown on the PV450-NV and could be uploaded actually. Both the new configuration and originally installed one in the PV450-NV were created by the same version 2.7. Then, I tried to upload it by USB flash memory, but the same error was found. Could you advise how to approach this?

Thank you,
tshiii

It looks like the wrong device is selected in the configuration. Are you sure that you have the 450 no video (I'm not sure what the correct device name is to select) device selected in the configuration?

I checked the device is selected as PV450 correctly in the configuration, but it has a video screen page. I do not make sure how to select "with video" or "without video" in the PowerVision. Does the mismatch cause the problem?

This display must have the wrong bootloader on it. Did it come to you new like this or have you updated the bootloader? If it came new to you like this the best thing would be to do a warranty return with it. It will need a production load put on it and that is not sent out because of the risk of bricking the unit.

There is the situation at our customer, and they already tried to upload the latest bootloader but the same failure was happened. From your comments, is it possible to have an individual problem on this PV450-NV itself like some bugs?

From what I have been told this display does not have the proper bootloader and it is not possible to install the right bootloader the way it is. The best thing to do is to return it and exchange it for a new unit. *** This information has changed. Please see the next post. ***

It looks like the bootloader was not updated for this part number. We will have to fix it and send you a file and instructions on how to load it. The good news is it will not have to be returned and replaced. I'll send you the new file and instructions as soon as it is ready.

Hi Boyce,

Is it possible to receive that file as well? I have a similar problem with a PV480 display and would like to try that and see if that fixes the problem.

Thank you.
