I've never seen an auto save function in the configuration program. This is something that would be very handy.

In other software I use, they save to a separate backup file every X minutes (user settable), just in case of a computer crash.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have not heard of this being discussed before but these suggestions get reviewed from time to time.
