It looks like when you "copy" a Numeric variable (and then paste) when selected FROM THE [Variables in Group] view -- some of the attributes (but not all) are retained by the new variable.

1. The data_type gets reset to DOUBLE
2. Includes in Powervision programming (if checked) gets unchecked
3. Not sure about the other items
4. The advantage of copying variables from this view is that you can do multiple items at one time.

When you perform this same operation from the Programming Items (Left Side panel) it works properly (but you can do only one variable at a time)
