Can I get the CAN messaging protocol for the PDM? Unfortunately, the setup on the PV750 is too cumbersome for my uses, as it requires a separate setup for each percent that I wish to drive the output. (At least that is my understanding.) For my purposes, that would mean 101 different setups (0 - 100%) for each output that I want to control, as I would be using it with a PID control loop. If I had the messaging I could do the same with just a few CAN messages from a controller.

Thank you for asking about the IX3212! A lot has changed in PowerVision Configuration Studio since drphil69 asked his question. I have some questions for you that will help me focus my answers to help you.

What display are you using to communicate to the IX3212?

What version of PowerVision Configuration Studio are you using? The latest version available is 2.8.10528.

I will mention here that in PowerVision Configuration Studio 2.7 and 2.8, perhaps later versions of 2.6, there is a PDM (IX3212) Manager application for color displays. This eliminates the need for using the Free Form messages between the display and the IX3212.

The PowerVision Configuration Studio Applications Reference Manual will provide some information about the actions, events and variables association with the application. The reference manuals are in the Software and Documentation forum here viewforum.php?f=3
