Analog Input, 4-20mA range

Post by cconner_aie » Tue Aug 08, 2017 8:33 am

Hello,

I'm adding the function to add a 4-20mA sender on our PV480, however I don't have an easy way to test the input. Can you tell me if the 4-20mA maps directly to 0-1023 analog steps? As in 4mA = 0 steps, 12mA ~= 512 steps, 20mA = 1023 steps, etc.?

Thanks,

I have been given 4mA is 160 counts and 20mA is 820 counts.
The test engineers in the lab measured 4mA = 165, 12mA = 492, and 20mA = 817.
