Could some time be given to getting NMEA2000 PGN 127489 please.

Although we have had excellent help to date from Sara and Nan we still have issues that could do with addressing.

To date we have with help from both Sara and Nan got the PGN working to a point but it's not brilliant as we have now discovered a further issue when using the same file on a different but same system i.e. another boat with same components. Reason for this is when the NMEA2000 devices connect to the system they take source addresses which seam to stick but are not necessarily going to be same on each boat.

The crux of the problem is not being able to use correct method of instances and having to use source addresses which we can't change.

The product that we are using that outputs this PGN is an Actisense EMU-1, Engine Monitoring Unit. These can be used to monitor one or more engines and thus are able to output same parameter multiple times but with each allocated a instance. Thus the unit has a system instance, a device instance and instances of parameters. Of course it is the instance of the parameters that we are interested here. But currently we have no way of using instance on these units and are having to use the source address which we can not control. This also prevents us from using same parameter twice on one unit.

Perhaps there might be a way of getting these units to work correctly? I think time taken to get this working would open the door to getting other similar PGNs working.
