Nesting in update-full.tar.gz

Post by hidish » Fri Jan 18, 2013 8:09 am

I have noticed that when choosing Create Full Install, the configuration studio creates a nested file that includes the update file for the application. Our online file system does not allow nested files like this. My question is, since the update file is inside this full install, then if I wanted to distribute a full install, could I separate the files within the full install?

Interesting. Similarly, could you exploit this to make a full install w/a multiconfig?

I'd try it if I weren't scared of bricking this ancient Ver 2 2 10011 PV750 that reboots massively quicker after loading configs.

The update-full.tar.gz file should not be modified after it is created by the configuration tool. Modifying this output file could lead to undesirable results when loaded to the display.

It looks like there's all kinds of shell scripts and whatnot in there.
