PV750 Testing

Post by twang » Wed Sep 14, 2011 2:01 am

Hello,
There is a customer he added a lot of UserDefinedVariables into PV750.There are more than 100 varibles and more than 200 diagnostic codes in all and some of them are not the j1939 parameters. Now the problem is : if he tests these parameters one by one, it must be cost so much time that it can't be completed on the site .
Ok, do you have any other right ways to complete this testing ? The customer wonder if it can be test at the lab by simulating a batch of varibles's changes in the MURPHY Configuration Tool 2.2 ? In the MURPHY Configuration Tool 2.2, it can be view changes of all variables and it can verify if the data is right .
Thanks , Terry

There's not a way in 2.2 to perform data simulation in the config tool itself. This feature is incorporated in 2.3 which is currently in beta.

However, you can perform data simulation on the unit itself using 2.2. Attached is a configuration that has three user defined variables. When simulation is turned on they run through a range of numbers.

Simulation is turned on by setting UserDefinedVariable.SettingSimData to 1.

In the Item Properties box visible after clicking the variable in the database, there are fields for min, max, and step values for simulation.

Once you set these values and turn on simulation it should run through all your variables.
