PV750 Updated Bootloader Needed

Post by jbilleter » Fri Jan 10, 2014 3:57 pm

PowerVision 2.3.2006
PV750
Windows 8.1 Pro

We received a warranty replace new PV750 unit (SN: 50001090539) Rev-E J12. When trying to LOAD a configuration onto the display via PowerVision software, I get the following error:

The file was not transferred sucessfully due to the following error:
The Bootloader must be version 2.3.20000 or greater to support this version of PowerVision.

(Successfully is spelled incorrect)

I have noticed other posts regarding the bootloader issue, but most of those are directed at the PV450 display. Everything that I can find on the forum regarding the PV750 says that there is no bootloader updated required.

I attempted to updated the bootloader with the one that can be downloaded from this thread: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=757

I get a '?' on the bootloader screen and it does not update.

The bootloader that is installed on the unit is:
2.3.10110
78700493
1090539

The only way I was able to get the configuration onto the unit was to create a full install and change the name to update.tar.gz and install with a USB flash drive. Even after the configuration was installed on the PV750, I still was not able to use the software to update the config.

Can someone please post a PV750 updated bootloader to the forum? If you need any more information, please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Jacob,

It's true that you do not need a new bootloader, but you will need to get PowerVision 2.3 Patch 3 version 2.3.2007. I just posted it in the Software Releases in my reply to topic "PowerVision 2.3 Patch 3 (Reliability Upgrade)".

Thanks,
