biometric identification systems

Post by SHAUN » Thu Sep 20, 2012 2:44 pm

HI GUYS

HAVE ANY OF YOU EVER COME ACROSS, OR HEARD OF A BIOMETRIC(FINGERPRINT READER) THAT USES THE CAN NETWORK TO GIVE ID TO E.G. HV700?

TO PROHIBIT SOMEONE FROM ACCESSING A CERTAIN FUNCTION ON A MENU, AND/OR TO KEEP A LOG OF WHO DOES WHAT AT ANY GIVEN TIME?

A HISTORY FILE THAT WE WOULD BE ABLE TO RETRIEVE REMOTELY VIA THE ARGOS MODEMS?

I HAVE FOUND A SERIES OF MORPHO BIOMETRICS THAT DO USE THE RS485 COMS(PLEASE SEE ATTACHMENTS)

HAS ANYONE EVER USED THIS TYPE ACCESS CONTROL WITH A LOGGING SETUP?
IF NOT HOW WOULD I GO ABOUT INTEGRATING THIS RS485 SCANNER INTO MY CURRENT MURPHY SYSTEM(TYPICLY CONSISTING OF A HV700 10KEY TOUCH AND PDM'S)

ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE APRECIATED

THANK YOU
REGARDS

SHAUN
