Set a symbol color based on a j1939 bit

Post by rtackett » Tue Sep 13, 2011 3:30 pm

I'm trying to change the color of a lamp gauge device based on a bit from a j1939 message. I've added a lamp gauge to the project, and have different elements, but when I change the color on one element, it changes it for both? The product is the PV450 using the studio 2.2 programming.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Russell T.

Hello Russell,

Using a lamp gauge will let you change an image based on the value of a variable.

If multiple elements are using the same image and you colorize that image in the image library it will change for all the elements or image widgets using that image.

What you can do is duplicate the image and colorize the duplicate.
