NMEA 2000 PGN 127489 Engine Parameters Dynamic

Hi and help,

I need some urgent help to get NMEA 2000 PGN 127489 Engine Parameters Dynamic working on HV780.

I am not having any success with the settings that are in attached.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello Simon,

Do you have a log of your CAN data so I can see what is transmitted to the display?

Hi Sara,

I have CAN Suite and having only used it for first time short while ago have not had opportunity to look into re configuring the settings. It looks as if its only logging CAN in the 60000 PGN range i.e. J1939 only.

I could have a look at setting CAN suite up to look for 120000 PGNs which I assume one can, but might take a while.

Hello Simon,

I am sending a CANCapture workspace that is a recorder.

First, you need to go to the Workspace tab and right click on the ECOM icon and select Properties. The Serial Number needs to match the serial number found on the back side of your ECOM, it should be like a 50xxxx number under the bar code and to the right of the Exxxxxxxx number.

After you start, you should be prompted for a filename where the CAN traffic seen by the ECOM will be saved. Make sure your other device is transmitting the 127498 and shows up in the Raw Capture tab of CANCapture.

Hi Sara,

I have checked your file and is a .cfc file 2kb in size?

Interface is Murphy 79.70.0030 Murphy UK interface. Not ECOM.

I have tried setting uo 127489 in CAN Suite and does not list it while logging.
