Configurator 2.1 H/W profile for 16 keys

Post by dberezowski » Thu Sep 09, 2010 2:44 pm

The Configurator 2.1 video spoke of H/W profiles, the first of which is "PV750 10-Key". When do you anticipate releasing and supporting a "PV750 16-Key" profile?

Some variations of our displays and other products that will be supported by this configuration tool will require a special .dll file that creates an option in the configuration tool for you to select that variant. Currently there is only the PV750 10-key in the 2.1 release. In the next release, you will also see the PV450.

If it's a product variation that has been created specifically for your company, you'll need to contact your Murphy rep directly to obtain the .dll file since we wouldn't want to put that in a general release. You would be given instructions at that time as to which directory to place the .dll file.

This .dll file then creates one or more entries in the variant selection list (see graphic example). When select the variants, the tool then can change number of keys, screen size, and I/O to match that product. The variations in the graphic below are test variations we used in testing, but it gives an example of how the selection may look.
