Attached is an example of Modbus tcp. Basically Modbus tcp is the same as Modbus, except that it is sent over tcp / Ethernet. In other words, there is a master and a slave. The slave only responds to requests from the master. Typically the display acts as a slave (or tcp server) and responds to requests, but it can act as a master if needed.
