Address claiming on PV780

Post by TimTian » Tue Aug 12, 2014 9:16 am

Hi All,

Could you do me a favor?
In PV780, the CANPort2.Address is 0x80.
but address claiming on CANPort2 is below:

18EEFFF2 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

Many thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim,

Would you provide me with the part number and date code of your PV780 you are using?

It is possible you have a unit that the CAN port 2 is really NEMA compliant and requires power to operate.

The part number and date code will tell us what kind of unit you have.

Thank you!

Hi Tim,
If you have just CAN 2 connected, do you see it trying to do the address claim. What you have posted looks like the default for CAN 1. If CAN 2, doesn't do an address claim, you probably have a prototype unit.

I will look up your device in the database to be sure.
