How do I assign 2 video inputs?

Post by drphil69 » Fri Mar 15, 2013 11:15 am

Hello,

I'm working on my first PV450, and my first using 2 video inputs. How do I assign the video input to the right view?

Thanks,
Phil

Hello drphil69,

To switch video inputs you need to use the actions:
Screen->SelectVideoInput(Video 1)
Screen->SelectVideoInput(Video 2)

The switch will be effective for all video video widgets so if you want to look at different inputs in different views you need to switch the video input when you change views.

I'd like to add a second, and maybe third, video camera to a PV780. I found the SelectVideoInput action under Screen Applications but have not figured out how to assign that to a button to toggle cameras or to a video widget that I can place in another video view.

Hello hhhenke,

A simple way to accomplish what you have described is to create a view with a video widget on it. Create three events, each with an action that sets the video input to a different source. Assign the events to a different key.

This is just something basic you could do just to get an idea of how the video widget and video source work together.
